Amethyst is arguably one of the most popular gemstones.
It's deep, alluring violet not only catches the eye but also the hearts of many.
But why is this stone so popular, especially as of late?
Today we will dive deep into the workings and wonders of one of the Earth's most mysteriously powerful stones.
For generations, amethyst has been known to help people overcome alcoholism and sober up after a long night of drinking.
The word amethyst itself is derived from the Greek word amethyostos, which translates to "Not Drunk".
Many genuine Russian Baths have an amethyst room under infrared light which is excellent for any serious hangover you may have the misfortune to endure.
Amethyst is the gemstone of higher knowledge, values, and ideals.
As a result of this, meditating near amethyst is believed to directly impact the crown chakra, seeing as it is the chakra that promotes these qualities.
It also gives you the power to elongate the time spent meditating.
In China, amethyst gems have been found to eliminate or reduce stomach and back pain.
This practice dates back many generations, and have been recorded in multiple Chinese medicinal texts.
This makes sense seeing that this gemstone is closely associated with the crown chakra.
When you work on opening any blockages found in this chakra, it helps to open any blockages in the chakras beneath as well.
This stone is also known to aid in awakening Kundalini energy.
In case you don't know, kundalini energy is the powerful, divine feminine energy sleeping at the base of the spine.
When the kundalini is awakened, the divine feminine energy snakes up from the bottom of the spine to the base of the skull, where it meets the divine masculine energy. This is known as a kundalini awakening.
